HAIR LOSS SOLUTION

FUE with Implanter (DHI)

Bangkok Hair Clinic > Hair Transplant > FUE with Implanter (DHI)

Best practice for denser results

FUE with Implanter, also known as Direct Hair Implantation (DHI), is a modern hair transplant technique considered the gold standard due to its exceptional results and growing popularity. This method involves extracting strong, permanent hair follicles from the donor area and directly implanting them into the recipient area using a specialized Implanter device instead of traditional metal forceps. This approach minimizes mechanical trauma to the grafts, enhancing their survival rate and improving overall outcomes.

At Bangkok Hair Clinic, we exclusively perform this technique using Lion Implanters from South Korea, trusted by top surgeons worldwide for their gentle grip and ability to create small, precise incisions. Our experience shows that DHI consistently delivers impressive results compared to traditional methods, making it the preferred choice for our patients.

What to Expect with FUE with Implanter (DHI)

Safety:
FUE hair transplant is a safe and proven technique with over 30 years of global experience. When FUE is done with implanters, grafts are protected from mechanical trauma, offering better control and higher success rates when compared to impalntation using metal forceps . While complications are rare, patients should discuss potential risks with their surgeon at Bangkok Hair Clinic before the procedure.

Procedure Duration:
Typically completed in under 6 hours, depending on individual needs. We aim to minimize ‘out-of-body’ time to enhance graft survival rates.

Benefits of FUE with Implanter (DHI)

  • Higher Graft Survival Rate – The Implanter minimizes mechanical trauma, preserving graft integrity for better survival.
  • Controlled depth and direction – Direct placement allows for accurate control of angle, depth, and direction, ensuring a natural-looking result.
  • Reduced Trauma – The gentle grip of the Implanter device lowers the risk of graft damage during implantation and maximise survival
  • Faster Recovery
  • Consistent Results – The technique ensures uniform placement, contributing to a seamless, natural appearance.
  • Preferred by Surgeons Worldwide – The technique is widely recognized as best practice in modern hair transplantation.

What are Lion Implanters?

Lion Implanters are precision-engineered devices from South Korea designed specifically for hair transplantation. Resembling a pen, they feature a slit at the tip for precise graft insertion. These versatile tools can be used for scalp, eyebrow, and beard transplants, and are compatible with both FUE and FUT procedures. Their design allows for greater accuracy and gentler handling of grafts, enhancing overall results.

Who is suitable for FUE with Implanter (DHI)?

FUE with Implanter (DHI) is ideal for patients who may have a reduced graft survival rate due to pre-existing conditions or other factors. This method can help improve outcomes for individuals with the following considerations:

  • Smokers
  • Skin or scalp conditions (e.g., dermatitis, psoriasis)
  • Older age
  • No prior use of other hair loss treatment (e.g., minoxidil or finasteride)
  • Previous hair transplant procedures

It is essential to consult with your doctor to determine if FUE with Implanter (DHI) is the right approach for your specific needs.

FAQ

Question: How many days until the results of permanent hair transplantation can be seen?
Answer:
Generally, for FUE, DHI (FUE with Implanter), and FUT hair transplantation, hair will begin to grow on the scalp and become noticeable within about 6-9 months after the procedure. After that, with proper care, the newly grown hair can last permanently.

Question: What is the density of the transplanted hair?
Answer:
For our permanent hair transplantation service, the density of the transplanted hair is between 30-50 grafts per square centimeter, according to international standards. This level of density is achievable due to the use of the Micrograft technique in every treatment case.
